Concrete Repair and ResurfacingEven though concrete happens to be one of the more durable surfaces that you are going to be able to work with that does not mean that it is not going to have some issues. The main difference that you are going to have with most concrete surfaces is that problems are going to start showing up at around a decade’s time while on other surfaces you can have problems within a year. Even if we were not the company that you called the first time around to help you create the original concrete surface we can be the ones to repair it!
When Is A Crack A Problem? This is actually something that is hard to pinpoint. The one thing that we always say is that we don’t want people taking cracks and any of these problems lightly. Yet, we know that you are not going to want to give us a call every time that you spot a minor issue. It is a bit of a back and forth game. We would say that when you have a crack that keeps forming in the same spot or that seems to be spreading quickly you really have a problem on your hands! Is Resurfacing A Good Option? Resurfacing is good for some cases, but not all of them. We have to be very honest with you right off the bat. The process, in a nutshell, involves basically removing the top layer of concrete that can be more beat up. You are basically getting a surface that has not been stepped on. This is a procedure that can really extend the life span of your concrete surface for a lot of years. As we have said, this is not something that is going to be available for all of the surfaces that we encounter though. Seal The Cracks Or Replace The Slab When it comes to repairs there are different options that are going to be available for you. As with the resurfacing process, the technique that we are going to use to repair an issue is going to depend on the issue itself. If you have just some small cracks that you are looking to ensure that don’t get any bigger we can seal these cracks. The idea is that we will be able to stop the cracks from developing. If the problem is more extensive or recurring we may have to replace the entire concrete slab. Inspections If you are not sure whether or not your concrete surface is going to need any type of help we can figure that out for you. Our experts can take a look at your surface all the way through and find any issues that could be developing. The one thing that we would say is that it is important to spot issues as they are developing and get to them quickly. This can allow us to make quick repairs that will save you money down the line. |
